This is our new website. It includes a system that allows club officers to easily add, delete and change content. This article is called a “post” while the articles you see when you click one of the tabs above (currently “About Us”, “Jams” and “Join Us”) are each a “page.”
Once you get a login to the system, then you will have a menu that allows you to “write” or “manage” “posts” “pages” and “links.”
I forgot - a “link” is shown by example over there to the left - the Strawberry Festival. Click it and you’ll zip off to the festival website.

Hello everyone,
Our dear friend Billy B. Boren passed away this morning (12/14/07) at 7:04 a.m. At 8:11 a.m. I received the following article via e-mail. I am printing it just the way it was received. No one could say it better.
The gates swing open and as the fog parts you see the silhouette of a big white cowboy hat and hear the clunk of bright red Tony Lama’s. A tall, healthy, strong, sturdy man stands at the gates with one of those big wide grins on his face. He wears a white jacket with cut outs of cactus and rarin’ up horses sewn to it outlined by bright sparkling sequins. He looks 8′ tall. The crowd gathered there to meet him are smiling as well. JD, Curly, Big Ern, Terry Stanton, Don Lanning Sr., Cecil Vernon…..and countless others who have been wondering when this ol’ rounder was gonna slow down and give the world a break. There are onlookers too….those who have only heard about the legend of Billy B. They came to see if he was real. His head tilts back and lets go a laugh that could be picked out of a crowd of 10,000 people on a windy day. He is at once surrounded by his friends. Hugs, handshakes and slaps on the back soon give way to Billy sayin’ ” Hey JD……….did I ever tell you about the time me and Flakey Mayfield drove to Reno on Halloween night back in 1962……………….” It’s not long before you hear the sounds of guitars and banjos getting tuned up….someone is sent to look for a bass fiddle. It isn’t long before the reunion is in full swing….songs that haven’t been heard in a while are getting belted out in “fine style”…story after story is told one leading to the next. And above it all you hear that unmistakable laugh…and the onlookers know that he is in fact real. Billy has gone home.
Go Rest High Billy…keep the fire goin’.
Marty Warburton
This really says it all. Billy B. Boren your friends all miss you.
